Introduction

This 3-hectare park in the city center, along the Besbre river, is composed of a French and English garden, separated by cascading ponds (1 936). The floral park of Lapalisse has 95 species, including more than 20 remarkable trees and peonies.

History

This park was designed by Laurent Faure, landscape architect, in 1 936. It is a testimony to the history of the gardens of the 1 930s, between the two world wars, in the modern-architectural style.

Opening Days

The garden is open every day. Anyway, a guided tour needs a booking.
